"Let's cut to the chase: stay here!
A beautiful gite in lovely countryside in the middle of the Savoie. When we arrived, the log fire was burning which was an immediate 'warm welcome' from the word go.
The gite is spotlessly clean, very spacious and has a great wifi connection (which is definitely not found everywhere in rural France).
The kitchen was very well-equipped, and there were even fresh herbs from the garden in a vase for us to use in our cooking. It was those sort of caring touches that made this an exceptional experience for us. (The nearest supermarket is a 10-15 minute drive in aiguebelle for buying groceries).
Sarah has a well-stocked bookcase (mostly English books), so if the weather isn't great you will have no problems curling up on the comfortable couches and getting your head into a good book.
We loved it here so much that instead of staying here for just 2 nights we extended it to 3. We were very lucky to be able to do that.
We also learned from Sarah that she will also do evening meals - a good reason to return because I am sure that the same thoughtfulness and good taste that characterises how she runs her gite will also extend to that too."
