"We stopped over on a trip to Italy and it was perfect for us, we were going to
go back a different way, but it was so lovely, we booked again for our return
journey. Le Petit Nid is just that, "a little nest", but not so little!, it was
perfect: after driving all day, to arrive at this little haven, beautiful snow
clad mountain backdrops, stretch our legs, walking amongst beautiful scenery,
and come back to a lovely warm and tastefully decorated home with wood-burner
blaring away, hot shower or bath and then go and have a beautiful gourmet dinner
at the hosts house next door up the lane. We are "foodies" and were overwhelmed
by the delicious food that Sarah and Sabastien offered and the hospitality that
went with it. I personally ate the best dessert I have ever eaten (simply a trio
of apples, but obviously not that simple) and the rest of the courses were a
taste sensation, so hat's off to Sarah the chef. We had copious amounts of wine
followed by a sampling of Sarah's apparently infamous homemade liqueurs, using
local ingredients - our favourite was the green walnut red wine brandy which was
superb and equally delighted, I now have the recipe from her, to use on my own
walnut tree's. I will be passing by at least 4 times a year and will definitely
not look for anything else - beautiful, thank you Sarah, you are great! On
another note, the lovely cottage is so close to all the well known ski resorts
in the area, forget the high prices and après ski of the resorts, I would much
prefer travelling back to this 'little nest' and enjoying the après ski chez
Sarah at a fraction of the cost and a lot more peaceful."
